  • You can submit a claim online, by clicking the "Submit a Claim" button below. You will be redirected to the People's Choice Warranty portal.

  • In the event of a covered mechanical breakdown, you must contact the PCW Claims Department immediately at 1-888-284-2356 or at [email protected] during business hours, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm EST, for the name, location, and telephone number of the nearest authorized repair facility. Note that you must be prepared to authorize and pay for diagnostic.

  • Please have some, or all of the following information when communicating with our claims department: warranty holders name, warranty number, the last 6 digits of the VIN and a description of the nature of the problem with the vehicle.

  • Once satisfied that all the terms and conditions have been met and after receiving a proper diagnostic of the breakdown, a determination of coverage will be made. If the repairs are covered under the contract, we will issue an authorization number to proceed with those repairs. We will then pay the authorized repair facility directly for the covered portion of the repair excluding any miscellaneous items and your deductible. In the event that circumstances arise where this is not practical, we will reimburse you, upon receipt of an itemized invoice, the amount that we would have had to pay at a PCW authorized repair facility, less your portion, provided that you have obtained prior approval from PCW's Claims Department.

  • We reserve the right to refuse, or reject, any repair estimate judged unreasonable in relation to other alternatives. We reserve the right to examine the vehicle and the right to ownership of covered replacement parts off of your vehicle. In the event of a dispute over the diagnostic, coverage and our liability, it is agreed that we will solicit the opinion of an independent expert, chosen by you and us and their opinion will be binding on both parties.

Maintenance Requirements

You must perform regular routine maintenance on your covered vehicle in order to keep this contract in full effect. Every 6 months or 10,000 kilometers (whichever comes first), you must change the engine oil and oil filter AND have all fluid levels checked at a licensed facility and retain valid receipts as verification. Do It Yourself oil changes are not acceptable as verification. In the event of a claim, verification of compliance with the prescribed maintenance schedule may be requested and any failure to satisfy this request within 72 hours could result in the denial of your claim and void this contract.

I'm having a problem with my car. What do I do?

Contact our Call Center first. 1-888-284-2356 The Claims Assistants at PCW are trained to help you get your vehicle diagnosed and repaired as quickly as possible. They will work with you to get you to a qualified repair centre best suited to meet your needs. They will arrange to have your vehicle brought in and diagnosed. They will work with us to complete the repair and get you back on the road as quickly as possible.

Q:

What about oil changes and car maintenance?

Every mechanic will tell you how important it is to take care of your vehicle in order keep it operating efficiently and for long term. Your warranty contract requires you to ensure your maintenance is completed at a regular intervals. Though you are not required to have it completed by any particular service depot, it must be completed by a qualified commercial establishment and receipts may be requested in the event of a claim so retain your oil change receipts. Do-it-yourself oil changes are not permitted. Always refer to your warranty for maintenance requirements to keep your warranty valid.

Where can I have my car repaired?

When you call our Claims Department, our Claims Assistants will work with you to get you to a qualified repair centre best suited to meet your needs. If you happen to be on vacation or in a remote area where there may not be a convenient service depot, we’ll find one and work with them to make sure you continue to receive your warranty benefits anywhere in North America.

Q:

What do I do if I need a tow truck or roadside assistance?

Many of our Warranty Programs include roadside assistance and towing. Should you require an emergency roadside service, contact your closest Towing Service and hold on to your receipt to send in to us for reimbursement. Check your Warranty Agreement for details.
